Joy

Joy is belonging –
Laughter with loved ones,
Piled on top of each other.
Joy is liberation –
Freedom to be yourself in a world that usually doesn’t understand.
Joy is running through sunshine-spattered fields –
Throwing a frisbee,
Kicking a ball,
Or running just to feel the wind
Brush your skin
And flush your face.
Joy is long, winding conversations
You wish would never end.
It’s a pot of hot coffee
Brewed for two,
Before you venture into the dark, rainy morning.
Joy is being thoughtful,
Just because you care for their comfort.
Joy is dancing to your favorite song,
The beat moving you from your core,
And carrying your limbs along the melody.

    Of crackling summer grass,
And carry us along on the soft sea breeze.

It has produced a significant number of shallow, one-dimensional female characters for aspiring and professional actresses to vie for. Women have so few opportunities to exercise their range and ability in comparison to men, and the material available to them is a significant root cause.
